More Linux Advocacy

Mainly:
Why linux doesn't and never will have viruses, well not with the same severity as Windows does.. I even cover how Viruses work (toward the end), and why commercial software worked and why it may never work the same way post-linux and post-open source. Why open source is made.. Who makes it.

If Linux will do software developers out of business.. Why drug companies hate government maintained medicine, and how this relates to potential commercial software developers hatred for open source. and many more things.. As well as the reason why I think Microsoft is going in the direction of a closed architecture computer.

Note: Microsoft's potential dream "Microsoft PC, like a mac, where they make the software and well they allow hard manufacturers to enter their domain and make pluggable hardware that plugs like a cartridge.. How is that not like a game system.. I know it is hypothetical, just consider the environment and the position Microsoft is in now..

How do we know this new direction better? WAL MART.. WALMART offers its own little platform, it's called a mall in a store. Every business provides products, but at a discount so they can remain in Walmart's store.. They also must cut back on their margins.. This is where Microsoft would love to be, if only they could brainwash the consumers and hardware manufacturers into doing it.. What Microsoft stands to lose if people decide not to continue with Microsoft Windows? They lose to the Mac.. What else could happen, people could go to linux and Microsoft loses the battle entirely, they have no reason to continue with windows because Windows doesn't stand a chance against an open source platform (in flexibility).. I'm just painting Microsoft's future for you, how I imagine it to turn out in the next 10 years..

What do you stand to lose if you continue with Microsoft Windows? Nothing.. I take that back.. Just freedom.. O and a lot of money to all the related things you must get to be productive on the new Windows releases to come.

I also give the virtues of Ubuntu, or linux.. Why Microsoft loves to keep people ignorant of linux.. Why people don't install OS's, what would happen if they did, why Microsoft doesn't even want to go there.. Also if Microsoft did get their own PC, what the hardware manufacturers could do???

Answer: Make their own Linux distros for their own computers, and basically compete with Apple and Microsoft. You also have to consider what happens in this financial crisis to the PC buyers, what they are going to consider.. Why they might not buy a PC for a while.. And I offer many reasons for them to consider open source packages like Open Office.. I even demonstrate Open Office.. And Inkscape.. I think I demonstrate CUPS print server, I'm not sure..

Maybe I should do a presentation in open office to outline my thinking, count this whole thing as a first draft to the ultimate killer linux advocacy video..

Anyhow.. As long as Youtube as disk space, I'll have videos to fill it..
