Just like the corner store down the road needs traffic to survive,so too does your Internet business. Now we know the 'what' we need, we have to work out the 'how'.
We have a few choices in how we are going to get the traffic we need to make money and give up our day job. We can either pay for the traffic through some pay-per-click advertising campaign or we can generate it ourselves. Pay-per-click campaigns can help us get a lot of extra traffic to our site, there is no doubt of that. So long as it is worthwhile and we are not spending more on our advertising campaign than we are making then it can be OK.
I have run many different PPC campaigns ,it is certainly easier and a lot quicker using some sort of software to set up your campaign. Lately I have decided to just spend my time and not my money to build a 'constant' stream of traffic. Than's why my main focus is on article marketing.
There does come a time however,when you have to look at the possibility that you could get the same amount of traffic to your website for free, now that's got to be good. There are thousands (if not millions) of people doing it right now. The fact is that how these other web masters are getting all this free traffic is quite simple but it does require a small amount of effort on your part.
The simple fact is that to get more traffic on your website all you need do is to implement a serious Article campaign. By that I mean that , every time you write and publish a good keyword optimized article, people are going to look at it, about ten per cent of the people that look at it will also click through to your website. A smaller percentage of those people that click through to your website will also be tempted to make a purchase (about two percent).
This will happen (on average) for every article you write. So it is simplicity itself that you just have to do more of what works. This will then slowly become a stream of regular visitors to your site without you having to pay for them. The buck stops with you, so that's exactly what we want it to do,keep your money in your pocket and start getting some free traffic on website.
